This image of the Millau Bridge in France has significance in my desire to become an architect because of not only the overall aesthetic appeal but also uniqueness and overall astonishment that the design is really a working structure. This bridge was design
ed by Norman Foster a British architect, and is one of if not the largest (Height) bridge in the world at almost 1000 feet above the Tarn River. I is approximately 1.6 miles in length. What strikes me about this is not only the uniqueness of the design but the innovation of bridge design that has come along with it.
This is truly a site to be amazed by.
This is another image that has ignited the desire to become and architect or study architecture. It is a picture of the original Monte Carlo Casino in Monaco, France on the Riviera.
This is the pincalle of all casino's, it is what they aspire to be, itis the original the best and as stated in the post prior (Image number 1) I have a fascination for hotel/Casino/ entertainment complex design and development. This fascination or obsession has come about through the intrigue of what goes on inside and basically the incedible interior and exterior designs, which sets them appart from the rest. Also from watching alot of James Bond movies.
This image is special to me because it represents one of my many inspirations to become an architect because portrays so many different facets of design areas and also it is what area of Architecture I want to eventually end up in. The casino image is able to incorporate several different worlds of entertainment under one or inside one structure. It is the area of architecture that drew me into further increasing my my architectural knowledge. Therefore inevitably I wish to pursue a career in casino design and development.
